The desire of Aduana Stars to win this seasons Ghana Premier League could be shattered  in their penultimate match against Elmina Sharks at the Nana Agyemang Badu II stadium in Dormaa on Sunday.

A win for the Dormaa-based club will see them clinch the trophy for the second time in their history after winning it in the 2009/10 league season while Elmina Sharks needs a point to wrap up their first season in the league.
Aduana Stars are currently at the summit of the Ghana league table with 54 points, four points above second place West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) who will be away to Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Though Aduana Stars have enjoyed some memorable moments at home in the league by recording 11 wins and drawing 3 out of a total of 14 matches played, Elmina Sharks have also had  remarkable wins away from their favourite Nduom Sports Complex.
Wins against Liberty Professionals, AshGold and most recently Tema Youth place Elmina Sharks in a pole position to cause an upset against the ‘Ogya Boys’.
With a defeat against Great Olympics still fresh in their minds, Coach Yaw Acheampong will depend on mercurial winger, Benjamin Tweneboah and enterprising striker, Felix Addo to break the home record of Aduana Stars.

In Kumasi, wounded Asante Kotoko will return to the Baba Yara Stadium to appease their fans when they face third place Berekum Chelsea after failing to win in their last two matches. They drew 1-1 against AshGold at the Len Clay stadium and failed to recover against Bechem United, losing 1-0 away.

Berekum Chelsea have performed abysmally playing away from home losing 11 matches and winning only one but Kotoko cannot afford to lose their focus as the result could ruin their chances of finishing among the top four teams.
Inter Allies will continue in their battle to escape relegation when they face Liberty Professionals who are also struggling to avoid playing in the Division One League next season. Both teams celebrated victories at home to setup a mouth-watering encounter that could have an effect on their positions on the league table.

Bolga All Stars will have nothing to fight for when they face defending league champions Wa All Stars in their final away match of the season. With only a season’s appearance, results against Wa All Stars will mean nothing to Bolga All Stars who have already exited league after accumulating a disappointing 12 points from 28 matches played.

Medeama SC will also seek to pull  the breaks on Accra Hearts of Oak when they clash at the T&A Park in Tarkwa. The Phobians’ dream of winning the league was ruined by their defeat to Wa All Stars but a   win against Medeama will  affirm their place among the top four teams.
