Braimah Kamoko, aka Bukom Banku’s, reign as an undefeated boxer is set to be halted by Bastie Samir, when the duo clash in a high profile cruiserweight fight at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Accra.
Speaking at his first public workouts ahead of the bout on Monday at the Sports Emporium in Accra, Samir said his intention to fight Bukom Banku was not only to silence him but to bring an end to his 28 fight unbeaten record in the bout which was earlier scheduled for the 30th September, 2017.
“I want to urge all my fans not to sit home but come to the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday to watch me destroy Bukom Banku. It’s been long coming and I must say I am very prepared for him. This is his time to fall and I will be very proud to be part of history on Saturday,” Samir noted.
“He is used to bragging and I know that’s his style but I’m gonna silence him to end his boxing career. He said we should call him a fool when I beat him and I promise he is going to be more than a fool when I finish him on Saturday.”
On his part, Bukom Banku in a reaction said during his public workout yesterday said, “Samir is a child in boxing who knows nothing. Monkeys they say works by sizes. Samir knows he is no match for me and not my size. I will disgrace and teach him how to box come. Bastie is a dwarf and doesn’t know how to even throw punches. Ghanaians should call me ‘fool’ if am unable to knock Bastie in the 6th round”, he said.
The two boxers would earn GHC 100,000 cedis each from the promoters irrespective of the outcome of the bout.
