Veteran Ghanaian boxer, Charles ‘the Crusader’ Adamu, has called the bluff of Bastie ‘Beast’ Samir in a non-title bout on any given day.

The 39-year-old who has been away from the sport for a very long period believes he can stop Bastie Samir if given the chance.

He disclosed that he possesses the expertise, strength and the experience to stop and defeat Bastie Samir.

Bastie Samir surprised boxing fans both home and abroad by knocking out undefeated Braimah ‘Bukom Banku ‘Kamoko’ in a non-title light cruiserweight fight at the Bukom Boxing Arena. But, according to the former bronze medallist at the Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games and Sydney Olympic Games, both boxers are no match for him.

Speaking on Accra-based Happy FM, Adamu exclaimed that he “can beat Samir Bastie or Bukom Banku on any day; they are not at my level at all. When I was in professional boxing, Bastie was in the juvenile team. I have been watching Banku from afar and if I’m given the opportunity today, I will beat him.”

“Bukom Banku has never been to Commonwealth, he has never travelled to fight neither has he attained any Commonwealth title. I have won the Commonwealth title twice as well as African Championship, when I was the Commonwealth Champion Bukom Banku was a nobody,” Adamu explained.

With a record of 28 wins and nine losses without a draw, the Crusader is keen on bringing back his career on the right path, having previously been touted as one of the country’s most promising fighters.
