Consul General of Ghana to Dubai, Ms Samata Gifty Bukari, has paid an official working visit to the Gulf Medical University in Dubai.
The visit was to familiarise with the university authorities, strengthen the relationship between the university and the consulate and explore the opportunities available for Ghanaians both in Ghana and in Dubai.
President and founder of the university, Mr Moideen Thumbay, briefed Miss Bukari on their earlier interaction with the government of Ghana to build a medical university in Ghana.
He pledged their commitment towards the realisation of the vision of developing the human resource of Ghana through the provision of quality education and healthcare to Ghana.
Mr Thumbay also acknowledged the collaboration between the Gulf Medical University and the University of Ghana Medical School.
Miss Bukari lauded the university’s initiative and expressed Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision to expand and improve the educational sector in Ghana.
She said President Akufo-Addo’s vision was to ensure that all Ghanaian youth had access to quality and Free Senior High School education.
She was accompanied by Mr Simon Atieku, Head of Chancery at the Consulate.
