Commonwealth University in Belize has conferred an honorary degree on the Director of Operations at the Presidency, Lord Oblitey Commey, for his exceptional organisational skills.
The respected university conferred the Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) on the experienced politician on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Prior to this latest award, the London Graduate School had also granted him the Master Class Certificate.
Ruth Atanga, Deputy Director at the Free Zones Board and Mrs Manly Spain also received Master Class Certificate on the same day.
Mr Commey’s illustrious political career spans over two decades when the New Patriotic party (NPP) was in opposition.
Indeed, Mr, Commey’s exceptional organisational qualities contributed to the party’s resounding victory in the 2000 election when he was the National Organiser for the party after rising through the ranks at the constituency level at Ablekuma Central in the Greater Accra Region.
The party further benefitted from his skills in the last election, which the party won handsomely with almost a million vote gap.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo recognised Mr. Commey’s organisational capabilities and appointed him the Director of Operations at the Flagstaff House.
