GN Mobile Money is creating both direct and indirect jobs for the teeming unemployed Ghanaian youth.

Close to 100 GN Mobile Money bankers within the Western Region were taken through series of training to equip them on how to use the new GN Mobile Money application and system.

The GN Mobile Money system is an initiative of GN Bank, a member of Groupe Nduom conglomerate, as a move to make banking safe and convenient for the Ghanaian public.

In an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the workshop with General Manager of GN Mobile Money, Mr Kofi Asamoah-Siaw, mentioned that the new GN Mobile Money was extremely distinct from all mobile money platforms available.

According to him, the GN Mobile Money was available on all networks which means that regardless of the network every mobile phone subscriber or user can open an e-account or wallet with GN Mobile Money.

“What is required is for the subscriber to dial the access code: *712# and immediately after that what comes onto the screen of your phone is pre-registration process which will be followed by your initial pin which will be delivered to you by SMS.

…From there you will get an SMS to confirm that your account/wallet has been opened and then you can visit any of our agents or super agents to load your wallet and enjoy our services, a very simple way of banking,” Mr Asamoah-Siaw indicated.

He added that GN Mobile Money operates on global system of mobile communication.

This, he said, makes it feasible for a subscriber to receive international remittances straight into his/her accounts.

He further added that GN Bank customers will have an exceptional advantage as such subscribers can remotely access their bank account.

“This means that such a person can view his/her mini-statement, check balances and actually use the GN mobile money platform to do transaction from one bank account to the other with ease.”
