Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) Ghana has launched another exciting financial product dubbed: “Owikloan” facility for its customers on the MTN mobile money services.
Launching the product in Accra yesterday, General Manager for Mobile Financial Services (MFS), MTN Ghana, Mr Eli Hini, described Owikloan as a unique financial service product, and called on its customers to use the product to enhance their businesses.
“MTN in partnership with afb Ghana is pleased to introduce Qwikloan to our customers. It is my hope that our customers in this market will use this new product to enhance their businesses,” Mr Hini urged.
Qwikloan, according to him, is available on MTN’s mobile money platform, and has been piloted among selected staff and customers.
“We have received positive feedback where users of Qwikloan have attested to how fast, easy and convenient it is to access Qwikloan.
“Qwikloan is here to bring relief to customers. You will agree with me that everyone needs to solve a need in life at a point in time. Sometimes it is very difficult getting financial assistance from family and friends to solve that need.
“…in most cases, the period of need will go past and you may never get financial assistance. Aside from this, there are times when you may be stranded in town and may not have enough money. That is when Qwikloan comes in to solve these needs,” Mr Hini explained.
With Qwikloan facility, he pointed out that customers do not have to hustle to provide proof of collateral in order to access the loan.
Mr Hini said that Qwikloan is an instant way to access a cash loan, at any time for any purpose from customers’ MTN mobile phone.
“Customers can access up to GH¢1,000.00. All you have to do is just use MTN mobile money and airtime more frequently and also commit to repay your loans on time in order to have access to more loans. MTN customers simply have to dial*170# to access a Qwikloan,” he averred.
He indicated MTN’s commitment to continue to find ways to bring innovative products and services to its customers and 8.2 million active subscribers across the country.
