MTN Ghana has organised its Y’ello Soiree in Accra to celebrate its loyal customers and to provide a platform where MTN’s top leadership meet and interact with their valued customers.

The evening was filled with music and dance — Abrantie Amakye Dede was there to perform some of his popular songs which sent most patrons to the dancing floor.  Guest who arrived early won early-birds prizes of Samsung s8 and some randomly selected customers also won other prizes.

The MTN Y’ello Soiree was initiated in 2015 to demonstrate the company’s appreciation to customers for their support to the brand and also to create a platform for interaction between MTN’s top leadership and MTN customers in an exciting and informal environment.

Speaking at the event, the Customer Relations Executive of MTN, Mrs Jemima Kotei-Walsh said, MTN organised the Y’ello Soiree to celebrate and thank customers for their loyalty to the MTN brand.

“Thank you all for choosing MTN, it has been a pleasure serving you over the years”. She also used the occasion to assure customers of MTN’s commitment to continue to work to improve their customer experience beyond 2017.

The soiree held in Accra was the sixth to be held since the inception of MTN Y’ello Soiree in 2015. This event has been held in Kumasi, Takoradi and Akosobmo and will be extended to customers in the Northern Region.

Apart from the Y’ello Soiree, MTN has instituted various initiatives aimed at creating a distinct customer experience. On Valentine’s Day, customers who visit any MTN branch across the country receive special MTN Branded chocolates while gifts are given to customers on Special Days such as Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, Yuletide giveaways and birthday rewards.

MTN continues to invest in cutting edge technologies to deliver relevant, innovative solutions for businesses and social needs. In 2017, MTN Ghana invested $143.7 million to increase network capacity, deployed infrastructure, and accelerated the rollout of additional network sites.

In recognition of MTN’s strategic focus of delivering excellent customer service, MTN was awarded the Customer Experience Award for the fourth consecutive year at the Ghana Information Technology Telecoms Awards (GITTA) and Customer Service Team of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Distinguished dignitaries who graced the occasion include the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey, and Deputy Minister of Communications, Vincent Sowah Odotei.
