Ghanaians urged to consume quail products

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Quail Masters Limited, Mr Francis Gao, has underscored the need for Ghanaians to endeavour to consume Quail products to help fight many diseases and also create more jobs in the country.

According to him, the quail eggs are packed with vitamins and minerals, adding that their nutritional value is three to four times greater than chicken eggs.

Speaking at a launch of commercial quail farming and training workshop in Accra yesterday, Mr Gao noted that a scientific research showed that the quail eggs have been used to treat diseases and conditions such as tuberculosis, asthma, diabetes, kidney stones, liver and gall bladder stones for a long time.

“Regular consumption of quail eggs help fight many diseases. They are a natural combatant against digestive tract disorders such as stomach ulcers,” he advised.

Speaking on the theme: “Quail farming, the most rewarding business for the 21st Century Youth,” Mr Gao mentioned that quail eggs strengthen the immune system, promote memory health, increase brain activity and stabilises the nervous system.

According to him, the health benefits of quail and meat include helping with prostate issues, obesity, libido, nausea, muscle weakness, heart, allergies, infertility, eczema, metal development and pregnancy.

For children, Mr Gao said, the consumption of quail eggs is recommended for their physical am mental balance.

For his part, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Quail Masters Limited, Mr Emmanuel Noah, asserted that they are working with the Skills Development Funds (SDF), government and international community to bridge the gap of animal meat in the country.
