Hunger Noe Be Joke (HNBJ) Incorporated, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), which supports the poor and needy persons, has organised an intensive health screening exercise for about one hundred and twenty (120) persons in Accra.

The organisation took the participants through drug ministration, eye screening, blood pressure checks and sugar level.

Most interesting, the 120 people were also fed by the organisation and given some food items as part of their gifts for this year’s Christmas festivities.

Addressing the gathering at the event in Accra recently, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HNBJ, Mr Kwame Preprah, stated his organisation, which was established three years ago, is aimed at helping widows, orphanages, the blind and the less-privileged in the society.

He stated that the foundation had so far impacted positively on the lives of more than three million Ghanaians through improving access to healthcare, education and economic empowerment.

“For us at the Hunger Noe Be Joke, this is a demonstration of what corporate social intervention should be—identifying a need and helping to address that need in a way that is meaningful, sustainable and to brighten the lives of the poor and the needy,” he said.

For his part, the talented Ghanaian musician, Mr Adams Aminu, popularly known as Baron, commended Hunger Noe Be Joke for the gesture.

Mr David Asante, popularly known as Don One, from Skate Soccer Association, thanked the Hunger Noe Be Joke for coming to their aid.

He urged other benevolent organisations to emulate the example of the foundation.
