Undefeated International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Super Lightweight champion, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe, has challenged his fellow Ghanaian boxer, Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe, to a non-title fight.
The duo recorded resounding victories in their recent bouts at the Bukom Boxing Arena and a clash is likely to happen with Tagoe calling for the head of Dogboe, even at the expense of dropping from his weight division to meet at the catch weight division.
Emmanuel Tagoe says he is ready to take on Isaac Dogboe in July 2018 if both camps agree on a fee. He maintained that the intention of fighting with Dogboe is to proof to Ghanaians that he is the finest and greatest Ghanaian boxer of his generation.
Baffour Gyan, a member of Baby Jet Promotions that organised Emmanuel Tagoe’s recent victory over Fernando Saudedo, had already shown readiness to pull off the bout if promoters of Isaac Dogboe are ready to append their signature to a deal before or after his World Title bout against Jess Magdaleno in April 2018.
“The contract is ready and we are ready to meet the financial obligations to let the world and Ghanaians know what sort of a boxer Tagoe has become. I want them his father to meet me to discuss the figures then we can proceed with the fight”.Baffour said.
“His father (Paul Dogboe) said he wants $200,000 for the fight which is no problem for us at all. We have decided to donate the money we will earn after the bout to charity because all we want is to end the bragging war between the two pugilists”.
“Dogboe is no boxer and we will prove it on that day. He should just should gather courage and append his signature to the deal and we will show up because we don’t fear any boxer in Ghana.
Meanwhile trainer and father of Isaac Dogboe, Paul Dogboe has stressed that his son is ready to fight Emmanuel Tagoe at 130 pounds (super featherweight) in July.
“My son his ready to face this crazy boxer (Emmanuel Tagoe), Isaac will knock him out in round 5,” Paul Dogboe said in an interview on Happy FM in Accra.
“It should be a winner take all, Tagoe’s camp said they will offer C$200,000 as purse, so we are ready to sign the contract, they have to make sure that the GBA sanctions the fight. The agreed weight is 130 pounds that is super featherweight, so they should make the contract ready, after our fight against Jessie Magdaleno in April we are coming for him in July.”
