SENIOR citizen, Joshua Attoh Quarshie, has called on the Inspector General Police (IGP), Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, to advise police offers who help self-styled chiefs to engage in the selling and destruction of farm lands in Ga-Dadamgbe West District of the Greater Accra Region to desist from the act.

Mr. Attoh Quarshie mentioned communities such as Sarpeiman, Pokuasi, Amasaman, Ayi Mensah, Adenta, Katamanso, Nsobri, Amanfro, Dankyira, Bortianor, Gbawe, Koklobite and Oshie, as places where these indiscriminate selling of lands take place.

Addressing the media yesterday, the octogenarian alleged that these self-styled chiefs often connive with people who are not Gas and to engage in the sale of farm lands which usually end up in bloodshed.

He accused Yahaya and Kas, “who have styled themselves as former police officers, moving from village to village, deceiving people and selling lands to them.

He further accused self-acclaimed police officers of buying farmlands from young people without the consent of legitimate chiefs and elders in the above Ga communities.

Against this background, Mr. Attoh Quarshie reminded serving police officers to emulate the good services of their past officers.
