ATV a member of GN Media as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has donated 10, 000 Ghana Cedis to Edem Dablah to help in his surgery. The channel manager of ATV, Henrietta Adom Viewu on behalf of GN Media presented the money to the mother of the child with mush excitement.
Edem which means ”I am delivered” in Ewe is a seven-year-old boy born healthy but met a rather unfortunate incident last year where he had to battle for his life after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Although stressful, the mother of this young champ went to every length to ensure that she saves her son from slipping away. This got Edem through his first surgery which brought a new light into their lives.
Efforts to get funds to help Edem go through his second surgery to ensure his full recovery were a problem as there were no funds available.
But ATV came in to give Edem some beacon of hope as through constant advertisement, some funds were raised to help Edem in his second surgery.
After several days of advertisement, Edem together with his mum were presented with a cash amount of GHC 10,000 to help in his treatment. This presentation was done live on ATV by the Channel Manger together with other managers of the GN Media
Edem full of joy and hope said “I am very happy and I thank God as well as everybody for helping me out”.
His mother Mary Dablah who was filled with tears and gratitude thanked ATV and all who made donations to them. In her state she said “ I was shocked when I was called that an amount has been raised for my son’s surgery and I thank everyone especially ATV and Ghanaians for their sign of love shown to my son”
The Channel Manager speaking on behalf of the other managers and GN Media wished the family well and called on Ghanaians to continue supporting and praying for Edem.
