Telecommunication network, Vodafone Ghana, through its flagship product, Vodafone Black, is headlining this year’s African Legends Night.
It is the second time in succession that the telecom giant is partnering the musical event.
Vodafone is using the platform to further entrench its commitment of delighting its ultra-high value clients who are members of Vodafone Black, Ghana’s first personalised unlimited experience.
Speaking on that partnership, Consumer Business Director at Vodafone Ghana, Mrs. Agnes Emefa Essah, said: “This platform represents all that is good about African music and is an excellent avenue for our ultra-high value customers.”
She stated that “Beyond the promise we give them on Vodafone Black, we are also interested in catering to their non-telecommunication needs and this is definitely a perfect fit.”
This year’s main attraction is the legendary DR Congo music icon, Kanda Bongo Man.
Billed to assist performance are Ghanaian legendary highlife artists, Daddy Lumba, and Amakye Dede.
The artists are expected to thrill guests to their maximum satisfaction at the event slated for September 30th, 2017 at the State Banquet Hall.
For his part, Director at Global Media Alliance, Edwin Amankwah, said: “We are happy to have Vodafone Ghana come on board as the headline sponsor. Vodafone’s support for the entertainment industry, over the years, has not been in doubt.
He explained that “This year’s event will be another celebration of our rich culture and heritage as Africans.”
The ‘African Legends Night,’ organised by Global Media Alliance (GMA), is an annual musical event organised to celebrate renowned African musicians.
The event has featured various artistes in the past including South Africa’s Hugh Masekela, Femi Kuti of Nigeria, Freddy Meiway of Ivory Coast and Yvonne Chaka-Chaka from South Africa.
